          Removal of Pollutants from Reverse Osmosis Membranes
          Removal of pollutants in reverse osmosis membranes can be achieved by chemical cleaning and physical washing, sometimes by changing operating conditions. As a general rule, reverse osmosis membranes should be cleaned when one of the following situations occurs.

          3. Metal oxide scale
          The deposited hydroxides can be removed by removing calcium carbonate scale as described above.
          4. Silicon scale

          Organic sediments (such as microbial mucus or fungi) can be removed with clean solutions.           4. General steps for cleaning RO membrane assemblies:
          1. Pump clean, free chlorine-free reverse osmosis product water from the cleaning tank into the pressure vessel and discharge it for a few minutes.
          2. Use clean product water to prepare cleaning solution in the cleaning tank.
          3. Circulate clean solution in pressure vessel for 1 hour or preset time.
          4. After cleaning, empty the cleaning tank and rinse it, then fill the cleaning tank with clean product water for further cleaning.
          5. after washing the reverse osmosis system, run the reverse osmosis system, open the product drain valve until the product water is clean, no foam or no cleaning agent.
